Sereolipi Membrane

Developed for Limon Lab

Developed for the Sereolipi Primary School project by Limon Lab, the exercise was to create a simple rhinoscript which could conceptually represent a structural grid system which would house a modular stretched fabric canopy. The canopy needed to be designed to have set states between semi-open and closed to create a balance of full daylight permeation and complete direct solar shading. The structure was given as an adaptation of the Trusset system by proxy arch. The scope was to deliver an adaptable and flexible tool to quickly test and represent deployments of canopy patterns while allowing for a basic degree of optimization in limiting the number of unique fabric types. The timeframe was one evening. The images are samples of the beta testing of the script and do not represent the final project.
